| Software
Technology, Inc., announced today that for the fourth consecutive
year its Tabs3 Billing Software won the 2006 Law
Technology News® Vendor Award for Timekeeping & Billing
System for firms with under 50 attorneys. The company’s practice
management software, PracticeMaster, was a first-time
winner in two categories: Docketing & Calendaring, and Case/Practice
Management Software for firms with under 50 attorneys. The LTN
Vendor Awards, which are voted on by the readers of Law Technology
News®, were presented to Software Technology, Inc., at
the Fourth Annual LTN Technology Awards Dinner at the Hilton
New York Hotel in New York City last night.
“We are very pleased with our
performance in this year’s LTN Awards. After winning
its fourth consecutive award, Tabs3 is the undisputed leader in
billing software for mid-size to solo law firms. PracticeMaster’s
win shows that it also has become a leader in practice management
software for mid-size to solo law firms,” said Dan Berlin,
President of Software Technology, Inc. “And the whole is greater
than the sum of its parts. Attorneys and office managers can both
use best of breed solutions without sacrificing all of the time
saving benefits of integration,” added Berlin.
In 2006, the editors of Law Technology
News® asked the publication’s more than 40,000 subscribers
to select products and vendors that represented outstanding achievement
in legal technology in 14 award categories. Ballots were solicited
from LTN’s subscriber audience of law firm partners
and managing partners, legal administrators, MIS/IT directors and
specialists, corporate counsel, litigation support specialists,
librarians and other legal professionals. Winners were determined
based on the most-mentioned product/company in each category. Information
on the awards and winners will be featured in the March issue of
Law Technology News® and on the magazine’s Web
site at www.lawtechnologynews.com.
“The growing interest evidenced
in our fourth annual awards competition reflects the expanding importance
of technology in the practice and business of law. Our product and
service winners, chosen by experts and real-world users across the
industry, have continued to raise the bar in innovation and customer
satisfaction. We congratulate them on this significant achievement,”
said Kevin Vermeulen, publisher of Law Technology News®.
Tabs3 was also named a Finalist in
the LTN Vendor Awards in the categories of Product of the
Year and Timekeeping and Billing System for firms with over 50 attorneys.
