Software Technology, Inc. (STI), the leading
provider of time and billing and practice management software for
solo to mid-sized law firms, announced today that PracticeMaster
now integrates with CompuLaw's court rules databases.
This integration allows law firms using PracticeMaster's firm-wide
calendar to access CompuLaw's reliable jurisdiction-specific rules
sets, greatly reducing the possibility of missing deadlines through
error-prone and time-consuming manual docket calculations.
"With this integration, law firms will
realize substantial increases in productivity and return on investment
through powerful case monitoring and practice management,"
said David Kalmick, CompuLaw's President/CEO. "Missing a deadline
can cause an attorney to lose a case, risk malpractice suits or
to incur financial or other repercussions. In 2002 alone, CompuLaw
published 160 rules updates and released 76 new rules databases
for numerous jurisdictions across the United States, which shows
CompuLaw's commitment to created rule sets that law firms can depend
on."
PracticeMaster helps law
firm employees find information faster. It does so by creating a
firm-wide calendar, automating conflict of interest searches and
organizing case file information with various area of practice templates.
PracticeMaster also offers contact management,
e-mail management and document assembly. In addition, PracticeMaster
integrates with Tabs3 Billing and Financial Software
as well as Microsoft Outlook®, Microsoft Word®, Palm™
Handhelds, WORLDOX®, iManage® and QuickBooks® accounting
software.
"CompuLaw integration is another example
of how PracticeMaster helps legal professionals
find information faster," said Dan Berlin, President of Software
Technology, Inc. "PracticeMaster uses CompuLaw
rules to automatically place court deadlines on a calendar. So instead
of calculating deadlines as they go along, users will see upcoming
critical dates every time they glance at their calendars. The deadlines
will be nearly impossible to miss."
Software Technology, Inc. has also recently
released the latest version of its award-winning billing software,
Tabs3. Tabs3 Version 11 includes
even easier to use forms and more customizable statements and reports.
IT also tracks more detailed information, like hours worked and
hours billed, that will give firms more insight into their productivity.
